I am a partner in our firm’s commercial real estate and business law practices. In all transactional matters, my belief is that an adversarial approach is frequently the wrong approach. Instead, I enjoy counseling my clients with practical strategies informed by past experience and sound judgment. Collaboration with clients, opposing parties and third parties and proactive, persistent problem solving is the best formula to successfully complete complex real estate and business transactions.
I have successfully represented owners, purchasers, and developers in all aspects of complex purchase and sale, real estate finance, and development transactions in a variety of sectors – office, multifamily, industrial, agricultural and residential. Additionally, I counsel landlords and tenants in a range of commercial leasing transactions, including office, retail and industrial leases of all sizes. I have extensive experience with commercial real estate finance, from basic private loans to government-backed and commoditized loans and multi-tiered finance structures.
In addition to real estate matters, I assist clients with a range of general business matters, such as entity formation and structuring, the purchase and sale of businesses and their assets, shareholder agreements, and licensing agreements.
Education and Admissions
I received my B.A. in Environmental Studies and Philosophy, magna cum laude, from the University of Colorado at Boulder and my J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where I was articles editor of the University of Denver Water Law Review. I am licensed to practice law in Colorado, as well as before the United States District Court (D. Colo.) and the United States Tax Court.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and getting outdoors with my family.
